The short version
**The app stores nothing.** There is no sign-in, no account, no database and no record of the numbers you give it. Your figures are worked out and the answer is returned, and that is the end of it.
This is not a policy we are promising to keep. It is a description of how the thing is built: there is no store attached to it, so there is nothing that could be kept.
Who is responsible
The app is made by Websites for Tradespeople, run by JW Digital Services Ltd (company no. 15243830). Contact us about anything on this page at hello@websitesfortradespeople.co.uk (opens in a new tab).
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. The app has no authentication, so it never learns who you are, what your ChatGPT account is, or what else you have asked.
Our host keeps ordinary server logs for a short period, as any web server does. Those records exist to keep the service running and are not used to build a profile of anyone.
What we do not collect
Not your name, your email address or any account identifier, because the app never receives one.
Not your conversation. The app receives only the arguments a calculator needs, like a length and a depth. It cannot see the rest of your chat.
Not your calculator inputs, kept. They are used to compute the answer and are not written down.
Cookies and tracking
None. The app is a server that answers a request. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, because there is no browser involved and nobody to follow.
ChatGPT's side of it
Your conversation with ChatGPT is held by OpenAI under their privacy policy, not ours. Anything you type into ChatGPT is theirs to handle, including the part that gets passed to this app.
If you want to know what OpenAI keeps, their privacy policy is the place to look. We have no access to it and no agreement with them about your data, because we receive none of it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. We hold none through this app, so there is nothing to return or erase, but ask us anyway if you want that confirmed in writing.
Write to hello@websitesfortradespeople.co.uk (opens in a new tab). If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If the app ever starts storing anything, this page changes first and says what and why. The date at the top is when it last did.
