Pay monthly websites for trades, from £9.99 a month

Pay monthly websites usually mean one of two things: renting a site an agency built for you, or a builder you use yourself. Ours is the second. You pick a trade template, edit it in place, and publish, with enquiries, quotes, invoices and visitor figures built in. It opens at the start of October 2026, and you can put your name down now.

From £9.99 a month including VAT, per website

Who it's for

Who the builder suits

  • Sole traders and small trade firms who want a site running this month, without a build fee
  • Anyone on a free builder whose site cannot take a custom domain or a proper enquiry form
  • Trades who would rather edit their own pages than email an agency for every change
  • Firms who want the enquiries, quotes and invoices in one place instead of three

The problem

What people usually pay for a pay monthly website

  • The going rate is £25 to £95 a month, and most of it is for the labour

On 17 September 2026 we read the published prices of three UK providers: Lollipop Rocks lists £25 to £95 a month, Netmatters £44 a month, and Yopp £40 plus VAT a month. Those are done-for-you services where somebody else builds and updates the site for you, which is why they cost what they do. Ours is cheaper because you are driving it.

  • Cancel, and a rented site usually goes dark

With most monthly deals the site lives on the provider's platform, so stopping the payment stops the site. Here it does not. If Pro lapses you get a 14 day grace period, then the custom domain stops serving and the site is demoted to its jw-sites.co.uk address. It stays up, your words and photographs stay on it, and your enquiries and customer records export as a spreadsheet whenever you want them.

  • Cheap monthly sites often skip the parts that win work

A tidy page is not the same as a working site. The things that turn a visitor into a phone call are an enquiry form that reaches you, a number that can be tapped, pages for each job you want, and something that tells you what people searched for to find you. Those are in from the start here rather than sold as extras.

What you get

What you get

  • A visual editor and trade templates

Pick the template for your trade and it builds the whole site, with real page structure, copy and photographs rather than empty placeholders. Click any part of a page to edit it, drag sections in, reorder them, undo when you change your mind. No code at any point.

  • Blocks for the pages a trade business actually needs

33 block families across 108 layouts: hero sections, service grids, reviews, project galleries, team, accreditations, FAQs, pricing tables, contact forms, opening hours, service areas, calls to action, video and downloadable files. You can also drop a single section from any trade template into a page you have already made.

  • Enquiries, customers, quotes and invoices in one place

Contact forms with spam protection that needs no captcha, an email the moment an enquiry lands, and an inbox to work through. Then customer records, jobs with photographs, appointments and tasks, quotes a customer can accept with a link, invoices with automatic numbering and a PDF, and online booking if you want visitors to take a slot themselves.

  • Visitor figures without a cookie banner

The built-in analytics set no cookies and store nothing on the visitor's device, so that measurement needs no cookie banner. You see visits, where people came from, which pages they read and which visits became enquiries, plus heatmaps of where people clicked and how far they scrolled. Google Analytics can be added if you already use it.

  • The search basics, done for you

Sitemap, robots, structured data, social preview images, canonical addresses and per-page titles and descriptions are handled automatically, with indexing control per page. You can connect Google Search Console to see what people searched for before they arrived and which pages they landed on. That connection is read-only and can never change anything in your Google account.

  • Your own domain, and a safety net

On Pro you connect a domain you already own: ownership is proved with a DNS record read from your own nameservers, and certificates and www handling are taken care of. Every publish is a snapshot, so editing a draft never changes the live site, and you can roll a page or the whole site back to an earlier version.

Process

How it works

  1. 1

    Put your name down

Tell us your trade and where you are. We will email you the day the builder opens at the start of October 2026, and nothing before that.

  2. 2

    Pick your trade template

Choose the template for your trade and it builds a full site, then edit the words and swap the photographs for your own jobs.

  3. 3

    Publish free, or go Pro

Publish free on a yourname.jw-sites.co.uk address, or £9.99 a month including VAT per website adds your own domain, removes our credit line from the footer and raises the image allowance from 1 GB to 10 GB.

  4. 4

    Work from the dashboard

Enquiries, customers, quotes, invoices and your visitor figures sit together, so the site is not a separate job from running the business.

The builder opens at the start of October 2026. Building a site from a trade template is an afternoon's work rather than a project, because the structure, the copy and the photographs are already there and you are changing them rather than starting from nothing.

Why not a directory or a DIY builder?

Where this is different

  • Built for trades, not for everybody

The templates, the blocks and the words are for plumbers, electricians, joiners, roofers, builders and landscapers. There is no shop, no plugin marketplace and no page of features you will never use, which is why it is £9.99 a month rather than the price of a general platform with an agency attached.

  • Nothing goes dark when you stop paying

You can build and publish without paying, on a yourname.jw-sites.co.uk address, with no trial clock and no card. And if you take Pro and later stop, the site is not deleted: after a 14 day grace period it simply goes back to that free address. Pro is bought per website, so a second site does not double your bill unless you want the extras on both.

  • The other way round: we build it for you

If you would rather not touch it, our fixed-price service is unchanged. We build the site, you own it outright, and there is no monthly fee for the site itself. That is the better answer when you want it done properly once, with your service pages and area pages written for you. The builder is the better answer when you want to be running this week for the price of a coffee.

Questions

Questions people ask

How much do pay monthly websites cost in the UK?

Most of the UK providers charge between £19 and £95 a month, and the price reflects how much of the work they do for you. On 17 September 2026 the published prices we read were Lollipop Rocks £25 to £95 a month, Netmatters £44 a month, and Yopp £40 plus VAT a month, all done-for-you services. Our builder is £9.99 a month including VAT per website, or £99.99 a year, which is two months free, because you build and edit the site yourself.

What happens to my site if I stop paying?

The site stays up. If Pro lapses there is a 14 day grace period, after which the custom domain stops serving and the site is demoted to its jw-sites.co.uk address, with the pages, words and photographs still on it. Your domain remains yours to point wherever you like, and your enquiries and customer records export as a spreadsheet at any time. Ask any other provider the same question before you sign, because with many of them cancelling takes the site down the same day.

Is there a contract or a setup fee?

No setup fee and no minimum term. Pro is £9.99 a month including VAT per website, or £99.99 for a year, which works out as two months free. You can start on the free tier, publish, and only move to Pro when you want your own domain on it.

Do I need to be good with computers?

If you can use a phone and write a text message, you can use it. You pick your trade's template, click the bits you want to change, and type over them. Photographs come off your phone into the media library, and the site is only live when you press publish, so nothing you try out is visible until you are happy with it.

Should I use the builder or have you build it?

Use the builder when you want a site up quickly, you are happy to write your own words, and a small monthly cost suits you better than a one-off bill. Have us build it when you want the service pages, area pages and quote flow planned properly, written for you and set up to be found, and when you want to own the finished site outright with no monthly fee for the site itself. Plenty of trades start on the builder and move up later.
