Pressure washing website design
Pressure washing website design that starts with the surface
Pressure washing website design, or exterior cleaning website design, is for cleaners who work at ground level: driveways, patios, decking and the paving outside a shop or office. Most customers call it jet washing, and UK searches for jet washing near me average around 22,200 a month. Before anyone books, the site should say what you look at before choosing a method, what a from price leaves out, which marks may stay and where the wash water goes. Then it collects the surface, the postcode and a rough date, ready for a written quote.

Rillstone Exterior Cleaning is a fictional business. We designed and built its website as a demo of how we build for pressure washing and exterior cleaning, using illustrative photography.
Open the live demo(opens in a new tab)01 / Quote request
A request that begins with the surface
The hero asks "What needs cleaning?" with five answers, from driveway, patio, decking and commercial paving to "I’m not sure yet". The request then takes four steps: the main surface, the postcode and timing ("It does not confirm coverage"), a name with one of phone or email, and a check of every answer. The form says "No account, attachments or payment details."
Surface chosen first
02 / Prices
Starting prices that say cleaning only
Each of the four services shows a "Sample guide" from price marked "cleaning only", or "By written quote" for commercial paving, with what it leaves out: "Cleaning is separate from re-sanding, sealing or repairing a drive" and, for decking, "Oiling, staining, replacing boards and structural deck repairs are not included." Each adds "Area, material, condition and access affect the written quote." The figures are the demo's samples.
What each price leaves out
03 / Water and limits
Run-off and stubborn marks raised early
The driveway page starts "with the paving, its joints and where the wash water can go". An FAQ asks "Do I need an outside tap?" and answers that "The water supply, drainage and hose route are part of the site check"; another says "Old oil, rust and damage may remain after cleaning." The guide "Getting ready for an outdoor clean" adds that "The working method and runoff arrangements belong in the site discussion."

Built for customers with paving to clean
What a customer checks before booking a clean.
Surface first, then postcode
Block paving, concrete, natural stone, timber or composite, with a not sure option. The material decides the method, so the request asks for it before the address and the timing.
Where the wash water goes
GOV.UK's guidance for England lists yard cleaning among jobs that make contaminated water, and sends it to reuse, a registered waste carrier or the foul drain with the water company's consent, rather than a surface water drain. Say which you do.
Claims you can stand behind
Safe for every surface, or every stain removed, reads as an objective claim, and the CAP Code says those need evidence in hand before they go up. Say instead how you check the surface, when you decline a wash and which marks, such as old oil or rust, may remain.
A from price with its scope
Driveways, patios, decking and business paving, each with a from price, what it covers and what it leaves out, such as re-sanding or sealing. The CMA says a from price must include every charge the customer cannot avoid.
Before and after, with the proof kept
CAP's advice treats before and after photos the way it treats testimonials: hold signed and dated proof that each pair is genuine and not manipulated, and do not exaggerate the result. Use your own jobs, each with its surface named.
Two guides for before the visit
One on getting ready: the route in, cars moved, a tap and the drains pointed out. One on knowing the surface: its material, any sealer or coating and visible wear. Each ends at the quote request.

Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.
What should the website say about where the wash water goes?
What you do with it, in plain words, because the rules are set nation by nation. In England, GOV.UK's pollution guidance lists yard cleaning among business activities that make contaminated water, counts detergents as possible pollutants and says surface water drains discharge straight to the environment. Contaminated water should be collected for reuse or for removal by a registered waste carrier, or go down the foul drain with the water company's permission. In England and Wales, causing a water discharge activity without an environmental permit, unless it is exempt, is an offence under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016. In Scotland, NetRegs says discharging anything to surface waters or groundwater needs SEPA's authorisation, and in Northern Ireland a discharge consent is needed for anything other than clean, uncontaminated water. The guidance does not name driveway cleaning, so say how you handle the water and check your method with your regulator.
Can the site say a clean is safe for every surface?
Only if you hold the evidence first. The CAP Code covers claims on your own website, says marketing must not materially mislead, and requires you to hold documentary evidence, before publishing, for any claim customers are likely to read as objective. Safe for all surfaces and removes every stain are likely to be read that way, and few cleaners could prove either for every material. A page that holds up says how the surface is checked before a method is chosen, that some jobs are turned down, and which marks, such as old oil, rust or weathering, may remain. Whether jet washing suits a particular block paved drive is for you to judge on the visit, so answer it in your own words rather than as a promise.
How should a driveway clean be priced on the website?
As a from price with its scope beside it. The CMA's guidance says a from price is allowed if it includes all applicable mandatory charges and does not mislead about what it covers, and the CAP Code says from prices must not exaggerate how often the low figure is available. So name the job the starting figure is for, say cleaning only where re-sanding, sealing or repairs cost extra, and list what moves the written quote: area, material, condition and access. A charge every customer pays, such as VAT if you are registered, belongs inside the figure. We do not quote average prices; the ones in search results come from directories, not from any official source.
Should my site say pressure washing or jet washing?
Both, because customers use both. In UK searches, jet washing near me averages around 22,200 a month and pressure washing near me 4,400, while jet washing and pressure washing on their own draw about 60,500 each. Driveway cleaning near me adds 2,400 and patio cleaning near me 1,300. Use the words your customers use in page names and headings, and the other term in the descriptions, rather than choosing one and dropping the other. If you treat the two methods differently, say how in your own words.
Should the site name the treatments I use?
If you use any, yes: what each is for, which surfaces get it and how you keep it off plants, ponds and drains. In Great Britain, HSE says the COSHH Regulations apply in full once you employ someone, and that a self-employed cleaner with no employees who takes hazardous substances to other people's premises is covered by every part except monitoring and health surveillance. That means assessing the risk and, where you reasonably can, using something safer. HSE's biocides guidance says to read the label before use and follow it, and to use a biocide only for the purpose it is authorised for; some labels restrict use near water. Say on the site that you follow each maker's label and ask about pets and planting first, and name no product you have not checked.
