Mobile mechanic website design
Mobile mechanic website design built around where the car is
Drivers whose car cannot get to a garage search for a mechanic who comes to them: around 40,500 searches a month in the UK are for a mobile mechanic near me. Your own website is where a driver who has seen your van or heard your name checks you cover their street, reads what can be fixed on the drive, and asks for a visit.

Torqueway, a demo we designed and built for mobile mechanics. A fictional business, with illustrative photography.
Example site
A mobile mechanic website for Greater Manchester
- Four-step repair request
- Coverage by area
- Call first for breakdowns
Demo website

Torqueway is a fictional business. We designed and built its website as a demo of how we build for mobile mechanics, using illustrative photography.
Open the live demo(opens in a new tab)01 / Repair request
Ask where the car is before anything else
The request takes four steps: the car and what is wrong, the postcode where the car is with any access details and timing, one way to reply, then a check. It says a request is not an appointment until the mechanic agrees it.
Postcode and access first
02 / Coverage
Five areas, each with its own note
Sample areas across Greater Manchester, each with a line on the kind of visits made there, and a schematic map marked as an illustration rather than a live coverage check. Not on the list? The page asks the driver to get in touch.
Each visit confirmed first
03 / Prices
Example quotes, with the scope agreed first
Sample fixed quotes for a diagnostic assessment, an oil and filter service and a battery, stated as including parts, labour and VAT. Answers cover what can be fixed at the roadside and the space a mechanic needs to work.
Parts, labour and VAT included
Built for drivers
Everything a driver checks before you come to them.
A request that starts with where the car is
The registration or make and model, what is wrong, the postcode where the car is, access details and timing. Enough for you to say yes, no or call me.
The areas you cover, town by town
Each part of your patch with the kinds of visit you make there, on one areas page to start and a page each as you grow, so a driver knows you come to them before they fill anything in.
Call-out charges inside the price
A fee every customer has to pay counts as part of the total price you show, so a call-out charge sits with the price, not in the small print.
What you fix on the drive, and what you cannot
The jobs you do at home, at work or at the roadside, and a plain line on when a car needs recovery or a workshop instead, before you set off.
A call button for breakdowns
Urgent problems go to the phone, planned work goes to the form. Both sit on every screen, with the hours you answer each one.
Advice drivers read before you arrive
When a car will not start, getting ready for a mobile service, and the space you need to work. Short pages that answer the first phone call for you.
Found by drivers who need you there
Car on the drive. Mechanic on the way.
Mobile mechanic website design built for the driver whose car cannot get to a garage.
Drivers who need you to come to them
Around 40,500 searches a month in the UK are for a mobile mechanic near me, and 22,200 for a mobile mechanic. The car is at home, at work or by the road.
Drivers who want to know the price first
About 50 searches a month ask how much a mobile mechanic charges, and 40 ask whether a mobile mechanic can do an MOT. Your site can answer both.

Your questions, answered
A few things mobile mechanics ask us.
Need a straight answer? Speak to us.
0161 399 4054What will my fixed quote include?
Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.
What should my website say about the jobs I can't do on a driveway?
Say it plainly, before you set off. Name the jobs you do at home, at work or at the roadside, and the ones that need a workshop or recovery, such as work that needs a ramp or specialist equipment. A driver who reads that asks for the right visit, and the call-first line handles a breakdown you can't fix where the car stands.
How much does a mobile mechanic website cost?
Most of the difference is how many areas and repairs need a page of their own. One page for a one-van mechanic is Starter, from £295; five pages for repairs, areas, reviews and contact is Essentials, from £595; a page for each repair and each part of your patch is Business, from £995. Prices include VAT and are fixed in writing before you pay anything.
Can my website say I do MOTs?
Only in the way it really works. An MOT has to be done at an approved MOT test centre, one showing the blue sign with three white triangles, so it cannot be done on a driveway. If you take cars to a test centre, or work with one, the site can say exactly that and who does the test.
Do I have to show my call-out charge with my prices?
If every customer has to pay it, yes. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, the total price you show for a job includes any fee the customer will necessarily pay, and leaving it out, or tucking it where nobody will see it, counts as omitting information the customer needs. We put the call-out charge with the price.
Should my prices be on my website?
Prices for the jobs you can price help a driver decide, and what your site says about the work can become part of the contract. Where the price depends on the car, say how it is worked out. Where no price is agreed at all, the law says the customer pays a reasonable price and no more, and what counts as reasonable is a question of fact.
How much should I charge as a mobile mechanic?
Start from what you need to take home, then add your costs and the hours you can really bill once travel is counted; our day rate calculator does that sum. Then set job prices with the visit inside them, as the call-out card above suggests, and check the result against what local garages charge for the same work.
