Cleaning website design

Cleaning website design built around the checklist

People look for a cleaner close to home: around 14,800 searches a month in the UK are for cleaners near me, and 12,100 for end of tenancy cleaning. The questions that follow are practical. What is cleaned, and what costs extra? Who will be in my home? What happens if my plans change? A cleaning company's own website answers each one, then turns the answer into a quote request with the type of clean, the postcode and the frequency already in it.

01 / Quote request

Ask what needs cleaning first

The form starts with the kind of clean, then the details, the postcode and how often, one way to reply and a check before sending. The page says a real business would agree the checklist and the price before any visit.

Checklist agreed first

02 / Checklist

Say room by room what is included

The kitchen, the bathrooms and every other room each have a short list of what is cleaned. Oven interiors and inside cupboards are marked as by arrangement, so nobody expects them on a standard visit.

Extras named up front

03 / Services

Give each clean its own terms

Regular cleaning, deep cleans, end of tenancy and office cleaning each have a page and a guide price. The end of tenancy page says plainly that it does not promise a deposit result.

Guide prices with the scope

Built for your customers

Everything a customer checks before letting a cleaner in.

The quote request first, then the checklist, the checks a customer asks about and the terms of a booking.
  • A quote request built on the clean

The type of clean, the rooms that matter, the postcode and how often, then one way to reply. It takes a minute on a phone and leaves the price to you.

  • The checklist, room by room

What a regular visit covers in the kitchen, the bathrooms and every other room, and what is extra. A customer can see what they are paying for before they ask.

  • Your checks and insurance, stated plainly

If your cleaners hold basic DBS certificates, say so, and what a basic check shows: unspent convictions and conditional cautions. Name your insurance as your certificate states it.

  • Cancellation rights for online bookings

A household customer who books online or by phone can usually cancel within 14 days. Starting sooner needs their express request and their acknowledgement that the right ends once the clean is done; the booking terms say what they pay if they cancel partway.

  • Guide prices with the scope

An hourly rate for regular cleaning and a starting price for deep cleans and end of tenancy, each with what sets the final figure.

  • Areas, keys and access

The areas you cover, a postcode check for the rest, and plain answers on keys, alarms, pets and products, all agreed before the first visit.

Found by householders and offices

Regular homes. One-off handovers.

Cleaning website design for the weekly client and the end of tenancy job alike.

  • Households looking nearby

Around 14,800 searches a month are for cleaners near me, 6,600 for house cleaning near me and 4,400 for domestic cleaners near me.

  • Tenants and landlords moving on

End of tenancy cleaning runs at about 12,100 searches a month. Each is a clean with a fixed date and a checklist to meet.

How it works

From first chat to a website that works.

  1. 01

    Brief

Tell us your services and checklists, your areas, your checks and insurance, and how customers book and pay. We agree the scope and a fixed price, including whether your booking software can link to the site, which we check before we quote.

  2. 02

    Build

The quote request, a page for each clean, the room-by-room checklist, your checks and the booking terms, written with you. You sign off every page.

  3. 03

    Launch

We send a test quote request, check the checklist and guide prices against yours and the insurance wording against your certificate, and try the form on a phone. Then it goes live on a domain in your name.

Your questions, answered

A few things cleaning companies ask us.

What will my fixed quote include?

Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.

Can my cleaners get a DBS check, and what should the website say?

Anyone aged 16 or over working in England and Wales can apply for a basic DBS check, which costs £20 on GOV.UK (checked 1 November 2026) and shows unspent convictions and conditional cautions. Standard and enhanced checks are for certain roles only, for example in healthcare or childcare, so the site should name the level of check your cleaners actually hold. A customer hiring a self-employed cleaner cannot request a check on them; the cleaner applies for their own and the customer can ask to see the certificate.

What does the website need to say about cancelling a booking?

If a household customer books a clean online or by phone, they can usually cancel within 14 days of booking under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013; a business customer, such as an office, has no such right. You must not start in that time unless they ask you to. If they ask and then cancel, they pay in proportion to what was done; if you did not tell them about the right to cancel, they pay nothing. Once a clean they asked for is fully done, and they acknowledged that the right would then end, it can no longer be cancelled. The site and the booking confirmation carry those terms in your words.

Do I need to show my insurance on the website?

In Great Britain, if you employ cleaners you must hold employers' liability insurance of at least £5 million from an authorised insurer, and display the certificate where your employees can see it; GOV.UK says that can be your website. Employing only close family is an exception, but HSE says it does not cover a family business set up as a limited company. Calling your cleaners self-employed does not settle it either: what counts is the real relationship, such as who controls the work and supplies the equipment. Any other cover, such as public liability, is stated exactly as your policy shows it.

Can customers book and pay online?

They can request a clean through the quote form, which collects the type of clean, the details, the postcode and how often, as the demo does. Taking full bookings and payments depends on the software you use, so we check it before we quote and write the answer into the fixed price.

Should I use a website builder or a web designer for a cleaning business?

A builder suits you if you want to write and look after every page yourself. We write the pages with you, build the quote form around your checklist and can keep the site updated on a care plan. The packages and what each includes are on our pricing page.
