Carpet cleaning website design
Carpet cleaning website design for carpets, sofas and rugs
Carpet cleaning website design, or carpet cleaner website design, is for the cleaner who brings the machine to the customer: fitted carpets, fabric sofas and armchairs, rugs and the carpet in a small office. UK searches for carpet cleaning near me average around 14,800 a month. A customer who finds you wants to know whether their carpet or sofa suits your method, what a room or a seat costs, which marks may stay and how long to keep off it. The site answers those first, then takes the item, a postcode and a rough size for you to price.

Pilewell is a fictional business. We designed and built its website as a demo of how we build for carpet and upholstery cleaners, using illustrative photography.

Carpet, sofa, rug or workplace, picked first
The enquiry opens on "What shall we look at?" with carpets, sofas and chairs, rugs, workplace carpets and a "Help me decide" choice for anyone unsure of the material. Four steps follow the same order every time: the item, then a postcode with a rough size, then one way to reply, then a check page where every answer can be changed.
Item before address
02 / Services
What each clean covers, and where it stops
Carpet, upholstery, rug and commercial carpet cleaning each have a page listing what the visit includes and what falls outside it. The carpet page promises attention to marks "without a removal promise"; upholstery leaves leather and suede out; rugs say antique, silk and high-value pieces may need a specialist workshop; the commercial page rules out hazardous contamination.
Limits on every service
03 / Access and care
Parking, stairs and getting the room ready
Six example areas around Harrogate each carry a line about access, such as steps, narrow approaches or the route in for the equipment. Two care notes, one on getting a room ready and one on looking after a fabric sofa, cover care labels, earlier products, which furniture moves and asking how to use the room while it dries.
Access asked about
Built for customers with a carpet or sofa to clean
What a customer weighs up before letting a cleaner in.
The item first, then the size
A wool rug, a velvet armchair and a hallway carpet need different methods, so the enquiry asks which one before anything else, then the postcode and an approximate size. A care label or a fitting receipt can be mentioned in a note.
Stain wording a contract can carry
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a service must be done with reasonable care and skill, and what your website says can become a term of the job if the customer relied on it. So write what you will attempt on a mark, not what will vanish.
Green and gentle words, with proof
The ASA's own example of a claim needing evidence is a chemical-free carpet cleaner. Eco and environmentally friendly come under CAP section 11, which wants the basis of the claim made clear. Name what you actually use, and hold the evidence before any such word goes up.
What you bring into their home
In Great Britain, HSE says some ingredients in cleaning products can cause skin allergies and asthma, and COSHH extends the duty to control exposure, so far as reasonably practicable, to anyone the work may affect. Northern Ireland's 2003 regulations say the same. Say how the room is ventilated and when people can return.
A price per room or per seat
Customers think in rooms, stairs and seats, so price that way and say what each unit means, such as a room up to a set size. The CMA says where the total depends on the job, show what is needed to work it out next to the price, with unavoidable charges inside it.
Trade body marks you can show
Membership of a carpet cleaning association is voluntary, but showing its logo without the right to it counts as unfair in every case under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. Put your membership where a customer can look it up in the body's own finder.
Found by households with a carpet or sofa to clean
The hallway carpet. The family sofa.
Carpet cleaning website design for the customer who searches for the item, not the trade, and wants the method explained.
Carpets and sofas, searched apart
Carpet cleaning near me averages about 14,800 UK searches a month (one row with carpet cleaners near me), upholstery cleaning near me 4,400 and sofa cleaning near me 2,900. The site gives carpets and upholstery a page each.
Rugs and workplaces too
Rug cleaning near me draws roughly 3,600 a month and commercial carpet cleaning 1,300, so the rug and office work earns its own page rather than a line on the carpet one.

Questions carpet and upholstery cleaners ask us.

0161 399 4054What will my fixed quote include?
Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.
Can my website say a stain will come out?
Not as a promise, unless you would stand by it in every case. Across the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 treats every service contract as including a term that you do the work with reasonable care and skill: a careful clean that leaves an old mark is not, by that alone, a breached contract. The same Act makes anything you say or write about the service a term of the contract if the customer takes it into account when deciding to book, so guaranteed stain removal on your website may become something you owe. The CAP Code adds that a claim customers read as fact needs evidence held before it is published. Safer wording says you assess each mark, ask what has been tried on it, and tell the customer before you start which marks may stay. Our guide to writing a quote shows where those limits go in writing.
What can I say about drying times?
What you can show is true for the job in front of you. A fixed figure such as dry in an hour is the kind of claim the CAP Code treats as objective, so you need documentary evidence before it goes on the site, and drying varies with the material, the method and the room. A safer line is a range you have measured on your own jobs, the conditions it assumes, and a line saying you will give guidance for that visit: when to open windows, when furniture can go back and when children and pets can return. UK searches for how long carpet takes to dry after cleaning average about 260 a month, so answer it plainly on the service page rather than leaving it for the phone call.
Can I call my cleaning pet safe, eco or non-toxic?
Only with evidence for the words as customers will read them. The ASA's guidance on objective claims opens with a chemical-free carpet cleaner as its example of a claim that must be grounded in reality and, if necessary, backed by evidence. Eco and environmentally friendly fall under CAP section 11: the basis of the claim must be clear, and CAP's advice is to judge a full life cycle unless you say otherwise. In a 2025 ruling on a carpet retailer it read eco-friendly as not harmful to the environment at any point, and wanted a high level of proof. Pet safe is likely to be read as a fact too, so start from what each product's label says about pets. These rules apply UK-wide. Naming the products you use, saying how a room is aired afterwards and when pets can return is more useful to a customer than a label word you would struggle to prove.
Should my website show NCCA or WoolSafe logos?
Only the ones you have earned, and with a way to check them. Neither is a legal requirement: the National Carpet Cleaners Association is a trade association whose members train, pass an exam and hold public liability insurance, and WoolSafe approves cleaners and, separately, cleaning products. Being a WoolSafe approved cleaner and using a WoolSafe approved product are different things, so do not let one stand for the other. Across the UK, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 treats as unfair in all circumstances displaying a trust or quality mark without authorisation, or claiming approval you do not have or whose terms you are not keeping, and the CAP Code says the same. Put the logo beside your membership details and point customers to each body's own finder, which is how they check a cleaner. UK searches for woolsafe carpet cleaning average about 70 a month.
How should I show prices by the room or by the sofa?
As a price per unit, with the unit defined and every unavoidable charge inside it. A room price means little until it says what a room is, for example up to a set floor area, and a sofa price needs the number of seats. The CMA's price guidance, which explains the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 across the UK, says the total should normally include mandatory charges, such as VAT if you are registered or any fee every customer pays, and where the total depends on the job you must show what the customer needs to work it out, as prominent as the price and normally next to it. So a call-out fee every customer pays belongs inside the price, a minimum charge sits beside the room price rather than in the small print, and the page says whether moving furniture, stairs or stain treatment cost extra.
Can my site say carpet cleaning kills fleas or helps with allergies?
Not without evidence for exactly what you claim. The CAP Code needs documentary evidence held in advance for any claim customers would take as fact, which covers killing fleas, bacteria or dust mites. On allergies, the ASA's advice is that removing some allergens may be claimed only with robust evidence, that implying all allergens are gone needs evidence for that absolute claim (it ruled against an allergy free claim for a vacuum cleaner in 2011), and that claims to treat or prevent allergies are likely to be seen as medicinal. That advice was written for products, but the same reading is likely for a cleaning service. These rules apply UK-wide. If you offer a flea or allergen treatment, name the product and what its label says it does, and leave health promises off the page.
