Car body repair website design
Car body repair website design for independent bodyshops
Car body repair website design is for workshops that put right scuffs, dents, kerbed alloys and accident damage. Around 22,200 searches a month in the UK are for a car body shop near me, and 12,100 for car body repair near me. Most of those drivers are standing next to the damage with a phone in hand. Your site lets them name the repair, send a photo of it, see a guide price with VAT in, and learn that an inspection settles the final figure before anyone picks up a sander.

Contour Bodyworks is a fictional business. We designed and built its website as a demo of how we build for car body repairers, using illustrative photography.

Pick the damage, add a photo, leave one number
Three steps: the repair, or Not sure yet, with up to three optional photos; a name and one way to reply; then a check. The note box asks drivers to leave out registration numbers and claim references.
Photos optional
02 / Repairs
Four repairs, each priced the way it is quoted
Scuffs and scratches, dents and panels, and alloy wheels carry sample guide prices including VAT. Accident repair and respraying says by written estimate instead, because hidden damage decides it.

03 / Workshop
Inspection, a written scope, then the keys
The home, repairs and estimate pages set out the order of things: request, inspection and a written scope, then drop-off and collection. The find-us page adds parking, valuables and when to call for recovery instead of driving in.
Scope agreed first
Built for drivers with damage
What a driver checks before asking a car bodyshop for an estimate.
A request that shows you the dent
The repair type, photos of the damage and one contact detail. Photos show the paint; the page says an inspection checks what sits behind the panel before the price is final.
Guide prices a driver can trust
Prices shown to drivers include VAT. Give a guide for repairs you price the same way each time, and say plainly where a written estimate takes over.
Insurance work, worded with care
Name an insurer only if it has approved you, and on its terms. Whether a driver can bring a claim to you depends on their policy, so the page asks them to agree it with their insurer first.
Standards you can point to
BS 10125, once called PAS 125, is voluntary. If BSI has certified you for its Kitemark, show the mark and link your entry in BSI's directory. If not, leave both off.
How long the car stays in
A typical time for each kind of repair, called a guide, with what stretches it: parts on order, or damage found once a panel comes off. It answers the call asking when the car will be ready.
Before and after, from the same angle
Pairs of your own photos, taken from one spot before and after, with the repair named. Until you have them, a drawn diagram marked as an illustration, as Contour uses, is the honest stand-in.
Found by drivers with damage to fix
The scrape is on the car. The answers are on your site.

Launch
We send test requests with photos to every inbox, read each guide price against your own list, check any certificate link opens your entry, and try the form and call button on a phone. Then the site goes live on a domain in your name.
Your questions, answered
What car body repairers ask us.
Need a straight answer? Speak to us.
0161 399 4054What will my fixed quote include?
Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.
Can my website say I do insurance repairs?
Say you are an insurer's approved repairer only if that insurer has approved you, and only on its terms: across the UK, showing a trust mark you are not authorised to use, or claiming an approval you do not hold, is banned outright (CAP Code 3.52; Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 Sch. 20). For drivers claiming on their own policy, we found no law giving them a right to choose the repairer. The FCA requires insurers to handle claims promptly and fairly, and the Financial Ombudsman holds an insurer responsible for a garage it told the driver to use, but usually not for one the driver chose with its agreement, if it made that clear. So the page should ask drivers to agree it with their insurer before they book.
What can a driver do if their repair is taking too long?
Where neither your estimate nor your site gives a date, the law treats the repair as due within a reasonable time, judged on the facts, and a repair that overruns it can earn the driver a price reduction (Consumer Rights Act 2015 ss.52 and 54, UK-wide). A time you do state can become part of the agreement. So give a typical time for each repair, call it a guide, and say what stretches it: parts on order, or damage found once a panel is off. On an insurance job, the Financial Ombudsman expects the insurer to keep the driver told about delays.
Can I give a price from a photo on my website?
Yes, as a guide, if the page says plainly what a photo cannot show. Contour's form takes up to three photos, and its answers say an inspection still checks for hidden damage before the final scope is agreed. The ASA's rules require a limitation like that to be clear and not to contradict the headline price (CAP Code 3.9 and 3.10), and a price shown to drivers must include VAT (3.18). Word the guide carefully: what you tell a driver about a job can become a term of the contract.
Can I say a repair is invisible or as good as new?
Only if you can prove it. The ASA expects evidence before a claim goes live and bars exaggerating what a service achieves (CAP Code 3.7 and 3.11); obvious puffery is allowed only where nobody would take it literally (3.2). Drivers are likely to read invisible and as new as facts about the finished panel, so describe what you can show instead, such as how you match the colour. A review that says the repair cannot be seen is still your claim once you publish it, and it must be genuine and held on file (3.44, 3.47 and 3.49). If a repair falls short, the driver can ask for it to be done again at your cost (Consumer Rights Act 2015 s.55).
Should my website mention PAS 125 or a Kitemark?
PAS 125 is the old name: the standard became a British Standard in 2014, and the current edition is BS 10125:2022. It is voluntary, as BSI says standards are unless a regulation references them, and BS 10125 sets out what any claim of conformity must say. If BSI has certified you for its Kitemark for Vehicle Damage Repair, show the mark and link your entry in BSI's directory, which drivers can search by company name or postcode. If it has not, leave the mark and the standard off: displaying a quality mark without authorisation is banned across the UK.
How much does a car body repair website cost?
Three fixed prices, VAT included. Starter, from £295, is one page with your repairs and an estimate request. Essentials, from £595, gives repairs, reviews and finding you their own pages across five. Business, from £995, adds a page for each repair and your before and after photos. Any estimating or insurer software link is priced on its own, and the full list is on the pricing page.
