Boxing club website design

Boxing club website design that starts with the week's sessions

Someone looking for a club wants to see three things before they turn up: which nights suit them, what a first session involves, and who will be holding the pads. Boxing clubs near me is typed into Google about 14,800 times a month in the UK. A good site answers on a phone in a few taps, takes a request for a taster, and says what the club is affiliated to and what its coaches hold in the words the governing body uses. The same order suits boxing gym website design, where the gym runs a class timetable.

01 / The week

Every session in one board, priced underneath

Each class sits on its days and times, so a newcomer finds a night that fits before reading anything else. Monthly membership and pay as you go are set out right below the board, so nobody has to ask what a session costs.

Sessions and prices together

02 / Taster night

A first visit asked for in five short steps

The visitor picks a class, a session from the next fortnight, how much boxing they have done and one way to reply, then checks it all before sending. Sparring Night 'is not offered as a taster', the note box says 'Please don't include medical details', and the end screen says 'It isn't booked until we confirm it.'

Confirmed by the club

03 / Coaches and safety

Coaches, house rules and directions, each labelled honestly

Coach profiles are marked as fictional samples. The safety section lists the club's points one by one, each tagged as a sample policy, a sample claim or general guidance, down to who is on the floor for juniors: 'Jo and Rhys are both on the floor for every Young Boxers session'. Find us gives parking, transport and the way in.

Nothing passed off as real

For first-timers and parents

Boxing website design that shows how the club is run.

What a first-timer, a parent and a returning boxer each look for: when sessions run, what a taster involves, who coaches, what the club is affiliated to and what happens if someone is hurt.
  • Affiliation stated only where it is real

Since April 2025, UK law treats showing a quality mark without authorisation, or claiming a body's approval it has not given, as unfair in every case. Name your governing body, Clubmark or an award only while the club holds it.

  • A named welfare officer parents can reach

England Boxing makes a club welfare officer a condition of affiliation, and the NSPCC's sport unit calls the role the first point of contact on a child's welfare. Give the name, how to reach them and the safeguarding policy.

  • A concussion line before anyone asks

The UK's grassroots concussion guidelines say anyone suspected of concussion leaves the session at once and does no sport for 24 hours. One plain paragraph in the safety section, linked to the guidelines, tells members and parents what to expect.

  • Junior photos only with consent on record

Photos of identifiable children need a lawful basis under the UK GDPR. The NSPCC's sport unit advises a parent or carer's consent for under 16s, and no full name, training time or travel plans published beside the picture.

  • Coaching awards written the governing body's way

England Boxing runs three coaching levels, each needing an enhanced DBS check, first aid and its safeguarding qualification. A profile that gives the award, its level and who issued it tells a parent far more than the word qualified.

  • Class pages that say what happens, not what it fixes

The CAP Code wants evidence before an objective claim goes up, and extra care where children feature. Describe the drills, the pads and whether there is any contact; leave out promises about bullying or confidence you cannot prove.

Pads on Tuesday. Juniors on Saturday.

Boxing website design for the beginner comparing clubs on a phone, and the parent choosing a junior class.

  • Searches for a club nearby

Boxing gym near me is searched roughly 18,100 times a month in the UK, boxing clubs near me roughly 14,800 times and boxing classes near me about 6,600. A home page that shows the week and the taster button answers them on the first screen.

  • Searches by age and by contact

Youth boxing near me is searched about 2,400 times a month, womens boxing classes near me about 1,300 and boxercise near me about 1,000. Naming the age group, any women's session and any no-contact class in each title matches those words.

How it works

From first chat to a website that works.

  1. 01

    Brief

Tell us your sessions and who they are for, your prices, who coaches what and the awards they hold, your governing body and what your safety and junior policies say. That becomes a written scope with one fixed price. Taking memberships or payments online is checked and priced before the quote.

  2. 02

    Build

We write the week, each class, every coach profile, the safety and welfare section and the taster request with you. You sign off every age range, every award as its body words it and every line that names an affiliation.

  3. 03

    Launch

We send a test taster request for each class, check every session time and price against your list, and read the safety and junior pages on a small phone. After that the club site is switched on, on a domain in your name.

What will my fixed quote include?

Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.

Can our website say we are affiliated to England Boxing, or show its logo?

Only when it is true, and on England Boxing's terms. Across the UK, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 treats showing a trust mark, quality mark or equivalent without the necessary authorisation as unfair in all circumstances, along with claiming that a body has approved or endorsed a business when it has not, or when the terms of that approval are not being kept. Both have applied since 6 April 2025, and the CAP Code says the same of marketing on your own website. In England, England Boxing's membership policy sets what affiliation involves: a Level 2 head coach with an enhanced DBS check and first aid and safeguarding training, a club welfare officer, a child safeguarding policy, a defibrillator no more than a five-minute walk away, and a gym inspection. A Clubmark badge works the same way: it goes up once the club holds the accreditation. Clubs in Wales and Scotland affiliate to Welsh Boxing or Boxing Scotland, whose rules are their own.

From what age can children join, and when can they spar?

At an England Boxing club, its 2026 rule book lets a child under 10 join and take part in classes, but not box competitively, take part in a skills bout or spar. Sparring is permitted only for boxers registered with England Boxing who have a yearly medical recorded, have been declared fit to box and are not under a medical suspension, and it must be supervised by a licensed Level 2 coach. Anyone under 18 also needs a parent or guardian's permission to compete. These are England Boxing's rules for its member clubs, not law; Welsh Boxing and Boxing Scotland set their own, and a club in Northern Ireland should check with its governing body. On the website, give every junior class its age range and say plainly whether it includes any sparring. The demo's taster request leaves sparring out altogether.

What should a club's website say about concussion?

Enough for a member or a parent to know what happens after a knock to the head. The UK Concussion Guidelines for Non-Elite (Grassroots) Sport, published by the government and the Sport and Recreation Alliance in April 2023 and updated in November 2024, are meant for every grassroots sport in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Their line is 'If in doubt, sit them out': anyone suspected of concussion is removed from play at once, does not train or compete within 24 hours, should be assessed through NHS 111 within 24 hours, and does not return to competition before 21 days. They are guidance rather than law, and they say they are not medical advice. England Boxing's rules add minimum suspensions for its registered boxers after a knockout or a stoppage for blows to the head, in sparring as well as in bouts. One short paragraph in the safety section, with a link to the guidelines, covers it.

Can we put photos of junior members on the website?

Yes, with care. A photo of a child who can be identified needs a lawful basis under the UK GDPR, a UK-wide law, and the ICO says consent is one possibility but not always the most appropriate. A child can give their own consent if they understand what they are agreeing to, which Scotland presumes from age 12; otherwise it comes from someone with parental responsibility. The NSPCC's Child Protection in Sport Unit, whose guidance covers England, Wales and Northern Ireland, advises getting a parent or carer's consent before photographing anyone under 16, recording it, respecting a refusal, and publishing as little as possible beside an image: no full name, training time, fixture location or travel plans. That is safeguarding guidance, not a legal age limit. The demo's photographs are stock images labelled as such.

Can a children's class page say it builds confidence or stops bullying?

Only if the club holds the evidence first. The CAP Code, which the ASA applies across the UK and to your own website, needs documentary evidence for any objective claim before it is published, so 'stops bullying' or 'teaches your child to defend themselves' has to be backed by proof. Where marketing features children, meaning anyone under 16 for the Code, it must not encourage them to copy practices that might be unsafe for a child or make them feel they lack courage if they do not sign up, and anything aimed at children must not exaggerate what an ordinary child can achieve. Describing the session needs no proof: the games, the footwork, the pads, the age group and whether there is any contact.

Do our coaches need a licence, and what should the coaches page show?

At an England Boxing club, yes: coaches must be 18 or over to hold England Boxing's licence and coach, and an affiliated club needs a Level 2 head coach. Its scheme has three levels, assistant, full and senior coach, each needing an enhanced DBS check, first aid with defibrillator training and its safeguarding qualification, all valid for three years; a Level 1 assistant helps in sparring only under a Level 2 coach. Its DBS policy applies to coaches and welfare officers whether they are paid or not. These are England Boxing's requirements for its clubs in England, not law; Welsh Boxing and Boxing Scotland run their own. On the coaches page, write each award as the body words it, with its level, and say who the club welfare officer is. The demo's coach profiles are labelled as fictional samples.
