Massage therapist website design

Massage therapist website design for a practice of one

Massage therapist website design is about removing doubt before a first booking. Around 27,100 searches a month in the UK look for sports massage nearby, and 6,600 for a massage therapist. People want each treatment with its length and price, to know what a first visit involves, and to ask for a time without phoning. Your website does that, explains your gift vouchers, and describes what massage can help with in the terms the ASA accepts.

01 / Treatments

Price every treatment by length

Four treatments (sports, deep tissue, Swedish relaxation and pregnancy massage), each with what it involves, who it suits and a price for each length. The pregnancy section asks clients to speak to the therapist before booking.

A price for every length

02 / Booking

Book a treatment in four steps

With one therapist there is no one to choose, so the request has four steps: treatment and length, a preferred day and time, details, then a check. The therapist confirms each request, usually within a working day.

No person step needed

03 / First visit

Say what happens in the room

The first visit is set out in four steps: a short health check, agreeing the focus and the pressure, staying covered with towels throughout, and aftercare to take home. A client knows what to expect before they arrive.

Covered and comfortable

Built for your clients

Everything a client checks before a first session.

The booking request first, then what a new client checks: the price, what happens, who you are and how to find you.
  • A booking request from any page

Treatment and length, then a preferred time and a way to reach the client. You confirm each one, so the diary stays yours. Use a booking app already? Linking it is looked at, and priced, before the quote.

  • Treatments and prices at every length

Each treatment with what it involves and who it suits, then a price for each length it comes in, so a client can choose before they book.

  • Claims the ASA accepts for massage

The ASA and CAP are likely to accept that massage helps with everyday stress, relaxation, sleep and wellbeing. Treatment pages stay there unless you hold evidence for more.

  • Gift vouchers sold your way

What a voucher covers, how long it lasts and how to buy one. If you sell in person or by phone rather than online, the page says so.

  • Your training and memberships, stated plainly

Massage therapist is not among the HCPC's protected titles, and CNHC registration is voluntary, so clients look for your training, insurance and memberships. Your profile lists what you hold, and nothing you do not.

  • Hours, holidays and how to find you

Weekly hours, bank holiday and Christmas hours, parking and the nearest station, so a first-time client arrives on time.

Found by clients nearby

The right clients. Booked at the right length.

Massage therapist website design for the client booking a first session, who wants to know what happens before they arrive.

  • Clients searching nearby

Around 27,100 searches a month look for sports massage nearby, 8,100 for deep tissue massage and 6,600 for a massage therapist. Each is choosing who to book.

  • Clients buying for someone else

Massage gift vouchers are searched around 590 times a month, and more than twice that in December. A voucher page tells them how to buy one from you.

Your questions, answered

A few things massage therapists ask us.

What will my fixed quote include?

Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.

Is sports therapist or massage therapist a protected title?

Neither is among the titles the HCPC protects; physiotherapist is. The CNHC registers massage therapists, sports massage therapists and sports therapists, and describes itself as a voluntary regulator, so joining is your choice. Your website says which registers and associations you belong to, and we list only the ones you hold. In London, the premises may also need a special treatment licence from the borough: the London Local Authorities Act 1991 counts massage as a special treatment, with exemptions such as treatment by a member of a health practitioners' body that has given the borough notice under the Act.

What can a massage website say massage helps with?

The ASA and CAP are likely to accept claims that massage helps relieve everyday stress, aids relaxation and sleep, and promotes a sense of wellbeing. Claims beyond that need robust evidence, usually clinical trials, and you should not refer to treating medical conditions that need medical supervision unless a suitably qualified health professional supervises the treatment.

Can I sell gift vouchers on the site?

Yes, in the way that suits you. The demo explains what a voucher covers, how long it lasts and how to buy one in person or by phone, because it does not sell them online. Selling vouchers online needs a payment provider, which we check and price before the quote.

Could I use a website builder or my booking app's page instead?

Many sole practitioners start that way. What we add is the writing and the structure: treatments, prices, your first visit and vouchers set out the way new clients choose, built to your brief. You own the site, the domain and the content, and if you already use a booking app we check how the site can link to it before we quote.
