Bike shop website design

Bike shop website design built around the service booking

Around 135,000 searches a month in the UK are for a bike shop near me, 27,100 for bike repair near me and 3,600 for e-bike repair near me. The repair searches are riders with a bike that needs work, not a new one. A bike shop's website turns that search into a booked drop-off: service levels with prices, the time each job takes, and a request that asks about the bike before it arrives.

01 / Service levels

Three services and an e-bike check, side by side

Bronze, Silver and Gold services and an e-bike check, each with a sample price, what it includes and its time on the stand. Repairs such as punctures, brake bleeds and wheel builds are priced the same way.

Price and time on the stand

02 / Booking request

Book a drop-off, not just a phone call

Five steps: the service, the bike and whether it is an e-bike, a day and drop-off time, contact details, then a check. Nothing is booked until the workshop confirms, and extra work is priced before it is done.

Confirmed by the workshop

03 / Shop and van

A shop in store and repairs that come to you

Sample bikes, parts and accessories with prices, marked as in store with no online basket. Mobile repairs across south Manchester carry a fixed sample call-out charge for each part of the area, then workshop prices.

Built for riders

Everything a rider checks before booking a service.

The service booking first, prices a rider can compare, and e-bike work described the way the rules do.
  • A service booking that asks about the bike

The service, the type of bike, whether it is an e-bike, a drop-off time and one way to reach the rider. The right parts can be ready when it arrives.

  • Service levels a rider can compare

Each level with its price, what is included, what is quoted separately and its time on the stand, so a rider picks one before they ring.

  • E-bike work, described properly

An e-bike within the rules, with pedals that can propel it, 250 watts and no motor help above 15.5 mph, needs no licence. Past them it is a motorcycle or moped in law. Your e-bike pages say what you will and will not do.

  • Mobile repairs, priced up front

A call-out charge every rider pays is part of the total price, so it sits with the price, with the areas the van covers and the jobs done on the spot.

  • Opening hours and how to get there

Workshop hours, holiday hours, and how to arrive by bike, car, tram or bus, with where to leave a bike you are dropping off.

  • Your shop, online or in store

Bikes, parts and accessories with prices, shown as in store. An online shop with stock and payments is a bigger job, so we check your shop software and price it before we quote.

How it works

From first chat to a website that works.

  1. 01

    Brief

Tell us your service levels and repair prices, the e-bike systems you work on, whether a van goes out and what it charges, and the software your shop runs on. We agree the scope and a fixed price, including any online shop.

  2. 02

    Build

The service booking, services and prices, e-bike pages, the shop, mobile repairs and directions, written with you. You sign off every page.

  3. 03

    Launch

We send a test booking, check every price against your list and the call-out charge against your terms, and try the booking on a phone. Then it goes live on a domain in your name.

Your questions, answered

A few things bike shops ask us.

Need a straight answer? Speak to us.

What will my fixed quote include?

Your pages, the features on them, the final price and the timescale, in writing before you pay a deposit. Hosting, care and any ongoing SEO are listed separately, so you can see what is one-off and what is monthly. On the Business package the first year of hosting and care is included.

Should my website say which e-bikes we will and will not work on?

Yes. Around 1,600 searches a month are for e-bike repairs, and a rider wants to know before booking whether you will take theirs. Name the jobs you do, such as servicing, battery checks and diagnostics, and the ones you pass to the maker or a dealer. If you will not work on a bike that has been derestricted, say that too, so nobody finds out at the counter.

Can my stock and online shop come from my shop software?

It depends on the software and what it lets a website do, so we check yours before we quote and write the answer into the fixed price. If it is not possible, the shop shows what you have in store, as the demo does, and riders call or come in.

How much does a bike shop website cost?

From £295 for Starter, one page for a one-stand workshop; from £595 for Essentials, five pages covering servicing, e-bike work, reviews and contact; from £995 for Business, which adds a page for each service level and your mobile repairs. VAT is included. An online shop is priced on its own once we have seen what your supplier offers, and the whole price is fixed in writing before you pay.

Should my service prices be on my website?

Yes, if you can price them. Riders search for what a bike service costs, and what your site says about a service can become part of the contract, so say what each level includes and what is quoted separately, such as parts.

Can my website offer to derestrict e-bikes?

Think hard before it does. GOV.UK says an e-bike whose motor can propel it above 15.5 mph, with more than 250 watts of continuous rated power, or without pedals that can propel it, is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle. It is classed as a motorcycle or moped, which must be registered and taxed, and its rider needs a licence, a motorcycle helmet and insurance. A page offering to remove the limit is offering to turn a customer's bike into one.
